Aprio Foundation Adopts Focus Areas for 2017-2018
August 9, 2017
We formed the Aprio Foundation last year to give back to our community. I’m pleased to announce that the Foundation’s board officially adopted three focus areas for the 2017-2018 year. We will be focusing our time and efforts on charities that work to improve education, conserve the environment and help the economically disadvantaged.
Over the coming months, the Foundation’s volunteer and grant committees will be looking for organizations in these sectors that our employees want to assist. If you have suggestions for nonprofit organizations the Foundation should work with, please reach out to Melisa Beauchamp, executive director of the Aprio Foundation.
In addition to determining its focus areas, the Foundation has taken many steps toward full operation over the last few months. We received our official tax-exempt designation in May, and we’ve launched all five of our committees (volunteer, finance, grant, education and fundraising). We are still looking for volunteers to join the committees; if you would like to get involved, please email [email protected].
