Jeffrey Gordon, CPA, CGMA

As Regional Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Gordon manages business administration and growth strategies for Aprio’s offices in the Carolinas. He previously served as COO of LBA Haynes Strand where he devoted more than 30 years to the development of the firm’s unwavering commitment to client service and employee engagement. His strong leadership skills and goal-oriented personality have created the operational and cultural foundations that predicated Aprio’s acquisition of LBA Haynes Strand in 2019.

Jeff believes that businesses are most successful when their leaders are hands-on at both the strategic and tactical levels. Therefore, he enjoys leveraging his expertise in multi-state taxation to provide management consulting services to clients in the trucking and distribution industry.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management at Western Carolina University. In addition to his CPA, he has earned the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation for leaders who have demonstrated superior people, digital and financial skills. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

Active in his community of Mount Airy, North Carolina, Jeff has served as both treasurer and president of the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce. He was a Chamber board member for 12 years and has also served as treasurer for the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History.
