Who I work with
I work with owners, CFOs and controllers of small to mid-size organizations, including affordable housing developers, nonprofit organizations and long-term care facilities (CCRC, nursing homes and assisted living). I also have considerable experience in the hospitality, real estate and construction industries.
Before joining Aprio, I grew my own bookkeeping business to become a Birmingham top 25 full-service CPA firm, servicing clients in Alabama and the Florida panhandle. I joined Aprio to continue providing my clients with access to the best and brightest advisory talent to grow their businesses. My 40+ years of business advisory, audit/assurance, individual and corporate income tax experience allow me to spot opportunities to advance affordable housing clients’ business objectives, from preconstruction to exit. I work with a team that services 450+ affordable housing projects across 13 states annually.
Results I have delivered
I provide strategic leadership and insights to both clients and Aprio team members to elevate the client experience and deliver tangible results.
Unique things about me
For me, nothing is better than traveling with my wife, meeting new people and sharing great food and fantastic sunsets.
When I am not at work
I like to exercise and generally walk more than three miles a day. I recharge by taking at least one nice vacation and long weekend getaways throughout the year.
People say I am
I am straightforward, reliable and keep things light with my low-key sense of humor.
