Scott is a partner in Aprio’s Manufacturing and Distribution group. He brings nearly 30 years of experience serving as a business advisor and strategist for growing companies across the U.S.
Scott is known for providing clients with astute strategic direction and counsel based on a deep understanding of business operations, owners’ needs and fundamental financial practices. He leverages a broad base of industry experience, having worked with companies ranging from startups to large private equity-based companies. Scott excels at asking thought-provoking questions which unearth new opportunities and potential challenges, and he works with clients to develop innovative strategies that achieve client goals.
Prior to joining Aprio, Scott served as founder and president of Peak Advisors, LLC, a firm that provided accounting and consulting services to mid-market companies. Before that, Scott was a partner at Katz, Sapper & Miller, LLP, a large Indiana-based accounting firm, where he chaired the manufacturing and distribution group. He also helped head the firm’s marketing and sales efforts and served on various firm management committees, particularly those related to growth and mentoring.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University. The Indianapolis Business Journal named him to its “Forty Under 40” list in 2002, and he participated in the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series, an intensive year-long program designed to help top business leaders become community leaders. Scott’s professional and civic affiliations include:
