Jae has over 10 years of experience providing assurance services for clients across various industries, with a focus on international manufacturing, distribution and technology businesses. He specializes in audits of privately-held companies, providing advisory and assurance services for pre-revenue startups to companies with revenues of more than $500 million, striving to help each achieve what’s next.
Jae earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Butler University’s Lacy School of Business, and his Master of Science in Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Healso attended the Chinese University of Hong Kong as part of an international exchange program.
Prior to joining Aprio, he worked with Deloitte in the Audit & Enterprise Risk Assurance practice for public clients, and Hotta, Liesenberg, Saito LLP in the Japanese practice. Additionally, Jae has experience working with SAP manufacturing for Fortune 500 companies in his previous role with Roche Diagnostics USA as an intercompany accountant and finance project lead and he did a finance co-op program with Johnson & Johnson at New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Jae was born in Seoul, South Korea, but lived in Zimbabwe and South Africa for over 10 years. He enjoys building intercultural relationships and bridging people together. He also enjoys interactions and communication that occurs between his clients on a day-to-day basis, since this process enables him to work in an advisory role with his clients to improve business efficiencies and financial reporting. His personal interests are in international cuisines, travelling, and playing a variety of sports including golf during his spare-time.
Jae is fluent in the English and Korean languages.
