Teddy Brown Named to Emory University’s 2018 Class of 40 Under Forty

Award honors accomplished Emory University graduates
ATLANTA (DATE) – Aprio, LLP, a nationally-recognized CPA-led business advisory firm is pleased to announce that Theodore (Teddy) Brown, senior manager in the firm’s Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting Servicesgroup, has been named to Emory University’s prestigious 2018 Class of 40 Under Forty.
Each year, Emory’s Office of Alumni Engagement presents the 40 Under Forty awards to multitalented and accomplished young professionals. The award program spotlights selected alumni across a variety of vocations for their impacts in business, research, leadership, public service and/or philanthropic endeavors.
“In its second year, the 40 Under Forty class is a multifaceted group,” says Laura Weekley, senior director for alumni learning and leadership programs at the Office of Alumni Engagement. “We culled through hundreds of nominees’ files, including journalists, technological innovators, social justice pioneers and scientists, to come up with this outstanding group of young professionals.”
Teddy is being recognized for his professional accomplishments and civic endeavors. As a forensic accountant, Teddy works with clients to help them through multi-million-dollar litigation claims and theft losses. Most notably, he helped unravel a $1.4 billion Ponzi scheme, the fourth largest in U.S. history. Teddy is also passionate about giving of his time to the local community and he can often be found assisting the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation in representing their clients in pro bono work.
