ATLANTA – April 14, 2026 – The partners, professionals, and team members of Aprio are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a beloved friend and longtime partner, Samuel (Sam) Lee Tuck.
A cornerstone of Aprio for more than 35 years, Sam built his entire career here, rising to serve as co-leader of our Tax Practice and as a member of Aprio’s Board of Directors. In both roles, he was a steady, principled voice in shaping the future of our firm. His leadership, judgment, and unwavering commitment to clients and team members were instrumental in making Aprio what it is today. Sam took exceptional care of every client he served, and for so many of them, the relationship went well beyond accounting. He was their trusted advisor and their friend.
Sam graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA and earned his Master’s of Taxation from Georgia State University before dedicating his entire professional life to public accounting. Over the course of his distinguished career, he became a widely respected voice in our Tax Practice and a trusted mentor to colleagues at every stage of their careers. No matter how busy he was, Sam was willing to help anyone at any time — contributing generously of his time and talents to the firm, its clients, and the broader Atlanta community. He was deeply committed to giving back, with a particular dedication to supporting the Jewish community.
Aprio remembers Sam for his warmth and his ready smile. He had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome and genuinely cared for, and a gift for making people laugh. He brought positivity into every room he walked into, and a conversation with Sam made your day brighter. He was someone everyone could count on, always practicing Aprio’s Fundamentals, always showing up for the people around him.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
