Aprio Welcomes Mark Li to lead National Technology and Blockchain and Digital Assets Assurance Practice

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and with over 30 years of experience in public accounting and private industry, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. With a specialization in assurance and accounting advisory services, he will help further position Aprio at the forefront of innovation in the rapidly evolving technology and blockchain/digital assets sectors.

Mark most recently served as a West Region blockchain and digital assets leader for a global accounting firm and is a veteran of the California accounting profession. He has experience serving pre-IPO early-stage, venture-backed technology companies as well as technology and fintech companies, including marketplace platforms, software, SaaS, business-to-consumer/internet, payments/gift cards, banking as a service, E-commerce/merchant services and blockchain as a service and specialty lending. Additionally, Mark brings extensive experience serving blockchain and digital assets companies, including exchanges, trading and marketplace platforms, wallets, custodians, crypto investment funds and stablecoin.

Mark earned a B.A. in Business Administration – Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and an M.S. in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas, Austin. He holds a CPA license in California, is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and is a member of AICPA. In addition to his role at Aprio, Mark serves as an adjunct accounting professor at San Francisco State University and is an advisory board member at San Francisco State University, Lam Family College of Business.
