Overview
Brandon specializes in helping owners and developers of mid-size to large renewable energy and affordable housing companies generate maximum growth through valuable tax credits. He works closely with executive directors and controllers of governmental housing authorities to conduct annual audits* that meet the complex annual reporting requirements within the industry.
Experience
Brandon is passionate about leveraging his auditing and financial reporting experience to help clients improve their accounting processes to make internal financials more reliable. Executive directors and controllers trust him to navigate them through financial and compliance audits required by various state and federal agencies. Brandon also helps clients generate more cash flow from their properties and understand the complex state requirements related to LIHTC and Renewable Energy credits at the completion of development projects. He has also introduced clients to technologies that have resulted in the generation of new renewable tax credits for their companies.
Education & Affiliations
Brandon earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting from Appalachian State University and was part of his alma mater’s national championship winning football team. He is a member of the AICPA and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
