Carrie Zhou, ASA

Director, Transaction Advisory Services

Carrie is a director in the Transaction Advisory Services group at Aprio. Carrie has provided valuation services since 2004, and she has performed a wide range of valuation services to clients in a broad range of industries.

Carrie performs business valuation services for purposes including financial reporting, contemplated mergers and acquisitions, estate and gift tax planning, dissenting shareholder and other litigation, bankruptcy proceedings and general business planning. She has also performed intangible asset valuations for financial reporting purposes. Her intangible asset valuation experience includes, but is not limited to, trade names and trademarks, customer relationships, customer contracts, franchise agreements, patented and non-patented technologies, software, off-market contracts and non-competition agreements. Carrie’s financial reporting valuation experience includes ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 350, ASC 360, ASC 820, IFRS 3, IAS 38 and fresh start accounting. Carrie also supports the firm’s audit practice in a SAS 73 role, having reviewed numerous valuations performed on behalf of the firm’s clients.

In addition to valuation services, Carrie also provides financial modeling services to clients in various industries.

Prior to joining Aprio, Carrie had eight years of valuation experience with KPMG and three years of business, tax, and financial consulting experience with Arthur Andersen.

Carrie earned her Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from Fisher College of Business, the Ohio State University. Carrie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Fudan University, Shanghai, China.

As a native of China, Carrie also provides advisory services to companies seeking a Mandarin speaking business valuation adviser.
