Dave is an International Tax Partner at Aprio who helps U.S. and multinational companies address complex inbound and outbound international tax issues, providing practical, value-driven guidance to middle-market clients.
Experience
He has over 20 years of experience in international tax, serving private and public companies across manufacturing, software, private equity, and specialty finance. Dave focuses on cross-border M&A, U.S. tax reporting for foreign operations, tax treaties, and international structuring.
Most recently, Dave was an international tax principal at BDO, where he led various business development efforts, built client relationships, and collaborated across service lines. He has also worked at two Big 4 firms. Dave is a frequent speaker at training events and industry conferences and has been published in The Tax Adviser.
Education & Affiliations
Dave earned a Master of Accountancy and an International MBA from the University of South Carolina and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Georgia and is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Additionally, Dave is actively involved in the Atlanta community and currently serves as the secretary of Goethe‑Zentrum Atlanta, a German-language and cultural nonprofit. He is also a former board member of Whole World Improv Theatre in midtown Atlanta.
