Overview
Jim is a Partner within Aprio’s CFO Advisory Services practice, bringing more than two decades of diverse experience across public accounting*, real estate asset management, corporate finance, and consulting. He partners with CFO organizations to deliver staff augmentation, project management, and consulting services, combining financial acumen and practical business judgment with a strong focus on relationships.
Experience
Jim began his career in public accounting at a global professional services firm, where he served clients in the real estate industry. He then brought that experience to finance roles within real estate asset management organizations backed by leading global investment banks, before serving as the Vice President of Finance for a national homebuilder.
Later, Jim transitioned into consulting and CFO services, working with a business and technology consulting firm and subsequently serving as Managing Director of Consulting at a finance and accounting consulting firm before joining Aprio.
He helps clients address accounting and finance challenges, execute critical projects, and strengthen their teams. His experience as both a finance leader and consulting practice leader gives him an operator’s perspective on the demands facing CFO organizations and the people, experience, and execution needed to meet them.
Education & Credentials
Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in accounting from Western State Colorado University and studied business administration at the University of Wyoming.
