Who I work with
I work with high-growth technology industry officers of SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, e-commerce and life science companies, including startups and organizations with over $100 million in revenue. I help these companies navigate their growth trajectories, from their early funding rounds to their exit.
My specialty
I specialize in helping businesses craft policies for revenue recognition that meet their individual needs. I help break down the process so that it is manageable for my clients and their teams. As an auditor, I help to drive my clients’ compliance goals and take the time to deeply understand their business needs.
Results I have delivered
I have performed hundreds of audit reviews and compilation engagements throughout my 10+ years of experience. I provided internal controls and risk assessment process training to hundreds of individuals at a multibillion-dollar organization.
Unique things about me
I was gifted a tiny plot of land in Wigtown, Scotland. If Wigtown sounds familiar to you, the town is an “Honorary Quidditch Town,” being the home of the “Wigtown Wanderers” from the Harry Potter universe. As a landowner in Scotland, I’m officially conveyed a Lordship.
When I am not at work
Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my wife and daughter. I also picked up disc golf a couple of years ago as a refreshing hobby and enjoy reading high-fantasy novels.
People say I am
Understanding, a generous listener and hungry for knowledge.
Affiliations
I am a certified public accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). I volunteer with the AICPA and am a member of the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) Subcommittee for CPA exam content. I also served as a board member for an international charitable organization.
