Overview
Michael has more than 15 years of experience across the government contracting M&A ecosystem, leading commercial due diligence and strategic growth engagements for private equity investors, venture capital firms, and government contractors. As a senior leader in Aprio’s Aerospace, Defense, and Government (ADG) Advisory practice, Michael combines deep proficiency in Audit* and Transaction Advisory Services with an exclusive focus on government contractors and the private equity firms that invest.
Experience
Since joining Nextfed, which is now part of Aprio, Michael has led more than 120 commercial diligence and strategic growth engagements. Additionally, he advises clients on market positioning, acquisition targeting, customer prioritization, and long-term growth strategy at the intersection of national security and technology.
Prior to his advisory career, Michael spent eight years at RSM, where he supported the Audit and Transaction Advisory Services teams by performing financial due diligence on middle-market government contractors.
Education & Affiliations
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and is a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
