Who I work with

Simply put, I create and activate Aprio’s social mission. As Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and the Executive Director of the Aprio Foundation, I lead the firm’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy and approach, and philanthropic giving. I develop strategic social impact opportunities, and build innovative programs and engaging partnerships that advance business goals of the firm and inspires community involvement.

My specialty

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has rapidly moved from “a nice to have” to table stakes for business growth. I apply 15+ years of social responsibility work across corporate, nonprofit and government organizations to build meaningful community partnerships with organizations of all sizes. My unified approach combines vision, strategy and measurement of positive community impact and my expertise includes:

  • Culture, leadership and team building
  • Strategic planning
  • Program development

Unique things about me

I married my sister, but not in the way you are thinking! I officiated her wedding ceremony in 2017, and it was one of the greatest highlights of my life. I am also an avid reader and enjoy topics from historical fiction and magical realism to contemporary romance. I read more than 100 books a year

When I am not at work

I’m a total #boymom. When I’m not folding obscene amounts of laundry, reading the latest NYT bestseller, walking the dog or cooking with my husband, you will find me (and hear me) cheering on our boys at their baseball games.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University. I also hold a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management from Boston College and a Governing for Nonprofit Excellence certification from the Harvard Business School for Executive Education. My professional and community service affiliations include:

  • Board of Directors, Bobby Dodd Institute
  • Advisory Council Member, Open Hand
  • Member, Corporate Volunteer Council of Metropolitan Atlanta
  • Conference Host Committee, Points of Light
  • Georgia Gives Day Advisory Committee, Georgia Center for Nonprofits
