Overview
Nicole Barrick is a Partner at Aprio with two decades of experience providing tax and assurance* services to privately held businesses and individuals across the U.S. and abroad. She brings a particular focus to small businesses needing to be guided through complex business situations and a broad range of tax planning matters.
Experience
Prior to joining Aprio in 2026, Nicole built a practice focused on helping business owners address the tax and financial challenges of building and growing a company. She draws on her skills in tax compliance, tax planning, and financial statement preparation to serve a diverse client base. Nicole also brings meaningful experience in M&A advisory, supporting clients through due diligence, modeling tax implications of acquisitions and sales, and helping them work alongside investment bankers, attorneys, and other deal professionals.
Education & Affiliations
Nicole earned her B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting from Bentley University and her M.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School of Business. She is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). Nicole is also actively involved with two organizations focused on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). She serves on the board of JB’s Keys to DMD and is a Steering Committee member for the Duchenne Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
