Overview
Phil is an experienced audit and accounting professional who works closely with audit* and accounting teams to deliver high-quality financial statements to clients. His practice focuses on supporting organizations in the real estate, nonprofit, and manufacturing and distribution sectors, where regulatory compliance, technical accuracy, and risk management are critical. Phil brings deep experience in the application of GAAP and GAAS and is committed to ensuring excellent client service while helping clients and the firm mitigate financial, regulatory, and reputational risk.
Experience
Phil’s public accounting career is grounded in risk assessment, audit planning, and the execution of audits for both public and privately held entities. He has accumulated extensive experience serving clients across not-for-profits, manufacturing and consumer products, real estate, professional services, healthcare, technology, retail, and financial services, including hedge funds and U.S.-based broker dealers. His work spans engagements for SEC registrants as well as closely held businesses, allowing him to adapt audit approaches to diverse regulatory environments and organizational structures.
Throughout his career, Phil has contributed to complex transactions and transformational events, including initial public offerings, reverse mergers, and mergers and acquisitions. His experience also includes SEC reporting, SOX compliance, A-133 audits, employee benefit plan audits, internal audit services, and due diligence engagements. Through roles at multiple Top 25 public accounting firms and other regional firms, Phil has applied his technical knowledge to ensure audit quality, consistency, and compliance. Phil has also served in a quality control leadership capacity, where he was responsible for supervising and reviewing engagements, ensuring compliance with professional, legal, and regulatory standards, and supporting peer reviews and PCAOB inspection preparedness, response, and mediation.

Phil earned a Master of Science and Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University.
