Robert brings nearly 35 years of experience in accounting, advisory, and audit* services, spanning investment funds, private equity, construction, and a range of real estate asset classes, including debt funds. He pairs deep technical knowledge with a strong business perspective, guides clients through complex audit and accounting challenges, and drives firm growth by building trusted relationships and adopting a market-oriented leadership approach. Robert recently retired from a Big Four firm and joined Aprio, where he will leverage his technical background, industry knowledge, and enduring client connections to drive high-quality growth.

Experience
With over 30 years of experience, Robert has demonstrated proficiency abroad in alternative investments and accounting standards, including investment companies, fair value and historical cost entities, and IFRS. His specialties include real estate funds, debt funds, real estate development & construction, plus a variety of asset management platforms. Robert also has experience with public and private REITs, cross-border real estate transactions, and a recent IPO.
He has served U.S. and international clients while based in New York City. Robert participated in his former firm’s global rotation program, gaining experience in Russia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East, before relocating to New York City in 2006 to focus on real estate.

Robert earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Colorado State University and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He actively engages with real estate industry organizations.
