Overview

Scott Isdaner is a member of the firm’s tax department where he provides comprehensive tax planning services for a diverse client base, with an emphasis on high-net-worth families, estates and trusts, nonprofits, and closely held businesses. Scott is actively involved in client service and firm leadership, overseeing tax planning initiatives while advising clients on a wide range of tax, estate, and business matters.

Experience

Scott was an attorney in the tax department of a major Philadelphia law firm, an experience that shaped his analytical and advisory approach. Over the course of his career, he has built a reputation as a trusted advisor to high‑net‑worth individuals, closely held businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

In addition to his client work, Scott has conducted tax seminars for banks and professional organizations, including programs for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Philadelphia. He has authored numerous tax‑related articles for real estate, business, and professional publications. Scott also served as president of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council from 2019 to 2020.

Education & Affiliations

Scott earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Georgetown University. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and the Accredited Estate Planner designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. Scott is a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, and the American and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.

Scott has served in leadership positions at many nonprofit organizations, including the Golden Slipper Club and Charities (former President), the Golden Slipper Foundation (Trustee), the Kaiserman Jewish Community Center (former President) and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia (Board Member and Trustee). In 2023, Scott received the Golden Citizen Award from Golden Slipper. In 2019, he received the Edward N. Polisher Award from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia for his outstanding service both as an estate professional and to the Federation’s endowment programs. Scott was also the recipient in 2001 of the Myer and Rosaline Feinstein Young Leadership Award from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
