Sharon Shaff has nearly 30 years of experience working with privately owned businesses and individuals on domestic and international tax planning, compliance, and related matters. Her primary focus is U.S. international taxation, helping clients navigate cross-border operations, reporting obligations, and planning considerations.
Experience
Sharon works extensively with U.S. subsidiaries of foreign corporations, helping them navigate the tax and operational complexities of doing business in the United States. She draws on deep technical experience in international tax, state and local tax, and corporate and individual taxation. In addition, she advises clients on foreign disclosure obligations, including helping them manage prior-year compliance issues. She also has extensive experience working with high-net-worth individuals on tax planning and preparation, including tax matters associated with equity-based compensation and alternative minimum tax modeling.
Education & Affiliations
Sharon graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University and earned her M.S. in Taxation, with high distinction, from Bentley College’s McCallum Graduate School of Business. She also holds an Advanced Graduate Certificate in International Taxation and is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
