Who I work with
As an industry veteran and former CFO, I have delivered positive outcomes for clients in the public and international accounting, financial services and alternative investment segments. My clients include clearing and non-clearing broker dealers, registered investment advisers, commodity pool operators, offshore and onshore hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and real estate funds, funds of funds and family offices.
My specialty
More than four decades in the financial services industry and vast experience as a client service advocate, CPA and CFO enable me to provide clients unique perspectives and actionable insights. My areas of expertise include serving US broker-dealers, registered investment advisers and alternative investment funds. My deep understanding of the regulatory, tax, operational, accounting and control issues associated with these entities enables me to effectively advise clients on structure, organization and regulatory issues.
I have regularly managed tax and accounting matters and the implications of investing abroad, including working with counsel to establish tax efficient structures for global private equity investments along with structuring new investment funds and operating agreements for strategic joint ventures.
As a member of senior management for past firms, I directed all financial accounting and operations functions for management companies and investment funds with $1- $2 billion in AUM. I have also pursued global long/short equity and emerging markets strategies.
Results I have delivered
By asking a few questions, I identified that a client with multiple hedge funds had been mistakenly overcharged broker fees and helped the client recover more than $1 million in fees.

I used to be an avid motorcycle rider.
When I am not at work
You can find me cooking and sharing meals with my large, extended Italian family, and exercising my dog, Milo.

In addition to being a CPA and former CFO, I am a member of the NYSSCPA, serving on its Investment Company Committee, and the AICPA. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from St. John’s University.
