Overview
Zach Conner, CPA, is an Audit Director in Aprio’s Technology practice, based in the Washington, DC area. He works with technology companies at every stage, from pre-revenue startups to companies with revenues of more than $500 million, and is a trusted resource for the founders, finance leaders, and investors who build them. Zach helps companies get their financial reporting ready for what comes next, whether that is a first institutional round, a later-stage raise, or an acquisition.
Experience
Zach has spent more than 11 years working with SaaS, FinTech, and venture-backed technology companies, along with the incubators and investors that support them. He is well versed in the issues that surface as companies raise capital and complete transactions, including early-stage financing instruments such as SAFEs, complex equity structures and equity compensation, and the valuation of earnouts in acquisitions. He also helps founder-led businesses prepare for institutional investment, often starting with their first audit.
Zach is active in the DC-area technology and venture community, where he connects founders and investors with the right resources across Aprio’s tax, advisory, and assurance teams. He also represents Aprio’s Assurance practice on the firm’s AI Council, helping shape how the firm uses new technology to serve clients. Education & Affiliations
Zach earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Maryland and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
