June 9, 2026 – Scott Isdaner, Tax Partner at Aprio and former Managing Partner at Isdaner & Company, shares his perspective with The Philadelphia Inquirer on the decision to join Aprio.
“We felt that we were in a position as a firm that if we chose to remain independent and continue down that path, that we would be able to succeed and do so,” Scott says. “However, we’re also very mindful and realistic of what was going on in the marketplace in connection with our industry.”
He points to increasing demands around technology, expanding client needs, and ongoing talent challenges as driving factors behind the move. As Scott explains, “When you add up those three pegs on the stool,” the firm ultimately decides to pursue becoming part of a larger organization.
Additionally, Scott points out, through this combination, clients’ teams are now backed by Aprio’s broader resources across tax, audit, legal, wealth, accounting, and advisory providing them with more resources to assist their growth.
