Carol is a Partner at Aprio’s Assurance* Services department. She has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, with her most recent role as a shareholder at Mize CPAs Inc. Beyond her technical experience, Carol is passionate about mentorship. She finds joy in coaching her team, fostering a culture of learning, and supporting their professional development. Carol believes building relationships based on trust in teamwork is one of the most rewarding aspects of her career.
Experience
Carol has spent time in both public accounting and private industry during her career. She oversees all aspects of auditing* procedures and performs consulting for clients in the restaurant industry. Carol serves small to mid-size clients in manufacturing, telecom, retail, construction, and professional services, with a focus on restaurant accounting.
Education & Affiliations
Carol earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, graduating summa cum laude, from Kansas State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Carol supports awareness and fundraising efforts for Alzheimer’s disease research.
