From supporting insurance audits* to navigating the complexities of state and local sales tax, She is a problem solver, adept at communicating technical topics in easy-to-understand terms. Carrie provides clients with the insights and confidence they need to make informed business decisions. She can be described as a team player who is patient, willing to listen and always eager to share her depth of technical knowledge.
Experience
She trains both Aprio team members and clients on accounting and payroll platforms, conducts research to answer client questions promptly, and monitors operational aspects of team workflows. Carrie is a stickler for excellence and reviews all client work for accuracy. Many of the clients Carrie works with are starting their journey as business owners and she enjoys the process of helping them identify what’s next and achieve both personal and professional goals.
Her advisory services include supporting company transitions, acquisitions and growth strategies, and she is passionate about helping her clients succeed. During state sales tax audits, I’ve collaborated with clients to prepare and provide supporting documents for state auditors, resulting in the removal of approximately $10,000 in audit findings per client. These removals translate directly into reductions in the bills dentists receive from states.
Education & Affiliations
Before starting her professional career in Accounting, Carrie studied technical theatre and participated in a wide variety of college level, local, and professional theatre productions. The communication and collaboration skills learned in these creative pursuits have fueled her approach to business consulting and accounting.
Carrie earned her Bachelor’s in both Accounting and Finance from UNC-Charlotte.
