Overview
Christopher McDonald is a Director in Aprio’s Assurance Services* Practice, working within the firm’s Real Estate Segment. He specializes in real estate financial statement audits, uniform guidance audits, and M&A due diligence.
Experience
Throughout his career, Christopher has managed engagement teams within the affordable housing, public housing, and commercial real estate industries. He works closely with commercial and residential real estate developers, syndicators, property management companies, and housing authorities.
Education & Affiliations
Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Science in Accounting from Appalachian State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina, as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Christopher has also been a member of the UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business Alumni Council since June 2018. Additionally, he served on the Board of the Lupus Foundation of America North Carolina Chapter from June 2016 to September 2022, including a two-year term as Treasurer from June 2017.
