Courtney has worked in public accounting since 2003 and has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of California since 2007. He works with affordable housing developers, nonprofit organizations, mobile home associations, nonprofit for land recycling organizations, nonprofit for services, and other related ancillary areas. Courtney enjoys working with clients through the full lifecycle of their company.
Experience
He has 15 years of nonprofit affordable housing experience and has an international background that enables him to look at a client’s specific concerns from a global perspective (Australia, Europe, South America, Thailand, and Hong Kong). Courtney works with finance and asset management teams through the life cycle of affordable housing projects to maximize value at all stages by
- Identifying stakeholders, understanding what they need, and learning how to set up processes to support where the organization is in their lifecycle
- Understanding how the county, city, and state governments are all involved
- Advocating with all stakeholders to understand the current stage opportunities and what value there is
He is an advocate for the client and stakeholders through learning and growing with clients, prioritizing relationship building, and being detail-oriented.
Education & Affiliations
Courtney earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting degree from University of San Francisco. He also studied at Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus. Courtney is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
