David has over 15 years of experience in information technology (IT) and cybersecurity across multiple industries, including healthcare, automotive dealers, banking, senior living and long-term care, and retail payments. His passion for cybersecurity and technology stems from his constant desire to be challenged and learn new skills. David’s current focus is helping businesses maximize the value they get from technology while enhancing spend.

He is a driven security leader with extensive experience in network and data security across multiple industries, including software/tech, banking, healthcare, and retail finance. David excels at identifying vulnerabilities in information system designs and developing mitigating controls, and enjoys R&D geared at designing new products and solutions that leverage existing technology in innovative ways.
As a former Chief Information Security Officer at Delap, David’s primary focus is on helping clients reduce their IT complexity, streamline business processes with automation, and build a strong foundation for future growth. He also provides domestic and international clients with cybersecurity leadership and helps them attain the benefits of implementing the Simplify-Optimize-Innovate methodology at all levels of their organizations.
Education & Affiliations
David earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from George Fox University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, Information Systems Audit* and Control Association (ISACA), and the Oregon Association of Auto Dealers (OADA).
