David is a Partner at Aprio, specializing in performing audits* of privately held, multinational companies. He has experience auditing pre-revenue startups to companies with revenues of more than $500 million. He works primarily with venture-backed, fast-growing international companies in the fintech space.
Experience
David is well-versed in a wide range of technical issues that affect the audit process, such as complex debt and equity structures, equity compensation, complex revenue recognition, crypto accounting, and lease accounting. He has experience advising acquisitive private equity and venture capital-backed, cross-border companies, and helping founder-led closely held businesses navigate the transition to institutional ownership. David also helps technology businesses improve recurring revenue in preparation for transactions. He excels at navigating complicated financial reporting and explaining complex accounting concepts to his clients.

David is a dual graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy degree from the J.M. Tull School of Accounting. His professional and civic affiliations include:
