David is the Technology Industry Leader and an Audit Partner at Aprio. In his role as Technology Industry Leader, he leads the 500-person team serving technology clients across the globe. As an Audit Partner, David also performs audits* of privately held, multinational tech companies ranging from pre-revenue startups to mature, private equity-backed technology roll-up businesses.

David is an inquisitive and highly engaged leader with a strong pulse on the rapidly evolving technology industry. He is deeply attuned to emerging trends and the complex challenges that technology companies and entrepreneurs face today, and he consistently helps clients navigate periods of growth and change with clarity and foresight. David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to key accounting issues such as revenue recognition, complex equity compensation, acquisition accounting, and evolving regulatory environments that impact tech companies. He works closely with innovative organizations in areas like enterprise SaaS, payments, blockchain, and consumer technology, helping them scale confidently while maintaining compliance.
Education & Affiliations
David is a dual graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy degree from the J.M. Tull School of Accounting. His professional and civic affiliations include:
