Experience
Don began his career in tax at Deloitte & Touche and later held leadership roles at several regional firms before founding Sandler & Company, P.C. in 1991. His experience spans audit, tax, and advisory services, with a niche focus on financial services. Since 1999, he has worked closely with CPOs, CTAs, and fund managers involved in diverse investment strategies such as long/short equity, foreign currency, futures contracts, mortgage-backed securities, and real estate funds.
Don is known for his sharp eye in risk management. He brings a unique ability to detect financial patterns and uncover issues that lead to more accurate valuations.
Education & Affiliations
Don earned his Master’s Degree in Taxation and Accounting from Bentley University and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bryant University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs, where he also serves on the Alternative Investments Committee. Don is also affiliated with the Hedge Fund Association.
Beyond his professional commitments, Don also supports the Greater Boston Food Bank.
