Overview
As a partner at Aprio, Doug specializes in leading large audit* engagements for publicly and privately held businesses. Over the course of his career, he has worked with early-stage companies in many capacities, including capital raising, revenue recognition, financial due diligence, and accounting for complex equity structures. Doug’s clients represent a wide range of industries, including construction, manufacturing, and technology.
Experience
With more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, Doug brings deep technical knowledge to his role. Before joining Aprio, he spent over nine years at PwC, where he worked in Portland, Oregon; San Jose, California; Auckland, New Zealand; and London, England in the firm’s SEC Reporting and Global Capital Markets Group.
Doug also has extensive experience providing employee benefit plan assurance services to plan sponsors throughout the Pacific Northwest. His work in the employee benefit plans space and dedication to the practice area earned him an Advanced Defined Contribution Plans Audit Certificate from the AICPA.
Education & Affiliations
Doug earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of Iowa and is a licensed CPA in the state of Oregon. He is a member of the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center.
