Jason is a risk management executive with over 20 years of experience in business processes, IT governance, and compliance. He serves as the Midwest Technology Industry Leader and leads Aprio’s Chicago Risk Advisory and Assurance* Services (RAAS) team. Jason is responsible for developing the team and assisting clients with compliance requirements to support their business operations and growth.

Jason has also collaborated with established enterprises that require comprehensive support throughout the compliance process and aim to use technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
He takes pride in helping firms work together with their customers to achieve compliance in a mutually beneficial way and establish himself and his team as a trusted advisor.
Jason’s primary compliance areas of proficiency are System and Organization Controls Reporting (SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 2+, and SOC 3), SOC for Cybersecurity, and SOC for Supply Chain, as well as ISO 20000, 27001, 27017, 27018, 27701, and 9001, HIPAA/HITRUST, WebTrust for Certification Authorities (WTCA), PCI DSS, Microsoft SSPA, CMMC, FedRAMP, and CSA STAR. His advisory specializations include internal controls readiness and improvement, internal audit* co-sourcing, and third party/vendor risk management.
Education & Affiliations
Jason earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University School of Business, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and a Master of Science in Information Systems Technology degree. He is professionally involved with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, serving as a Board Member (including the Executive Committee) and a Technology Council and Membership Committee member, as well as the ISACA Chicago Chapter.
