Overview
As a Director in Aprio’s Accounting Advisory practice, Jimmy helps businesses achieve greater results by transforming their financial functions into engines for growth. He specializes in bridging the gap between technical accounting and executive growth strategy for high-growth technology and CPG companies. While Jimmy primarily works with businesses in the e-commerce space, he also serves clients in manufacturing and distribution and established technology companies.
Experience
Drawing on his prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Jimmy provides founders with an “operator’s lens” to help them navigate the pressures of capital raising and board-level reporting. Additionally, he specializes in guiding high-growth startups—particularly in the CPG and Technology sectors—through the critical milestones of scaling. Jimmy navigates the complexities of ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting to make sure his clients’ financials are audit*-ready and their enterprise valuations are protected during institutional due diligence.
Moreover, he works with founders to understand ASC 707 vendor incentives to manage trade spend and protect margin to drive operational efficiency, providing founders with the technical clarity they need to lead with confidence.
Education & Affiliations
Jimmy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business and an Executive MBA from Emory University – Goizueta Business School. He is a member of the AICPA, GSCPA, and a Board Member of the Nana Grants.
