Overview
Joe Sullivan brings more than 20 years of experience in public accounting to his role with Aprio. He specializes in tax planning and compliance for middle market and emerging companies, with an emphasis on merger and acquisition structuring, state and local tax minimization, tax incentive consulting, financial statement modeling, and stock option planning. Joe is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and has extensive experience with ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes.
Experience
Joe began his career with a Big 4 firm and spent eight years at a large regional firm before joining Aprio. He works closely with business owners to maximize potential and set a strategic course for growth. His technical experience includes income tax compliance and consulting for both publicly held and privately owned companies as well as providing complex tax planning strategies for clients in the technology, life sciences, and manufacturing and distribution industries.
Education & Affiliations
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oregon State University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Oregon. He is a member of the AICPA and OSCPA. Joe has served on the Oregon Board of Accountancy and in his spare time, is the Treasurer of the West Linn Youth Football league.
