Josh works closely with private equity and venture capital firms investing in aerospace and defense technologies, as well as OEMs and government-regulated entities developing everything from satellite components and RF systems to advanced battery and nuclear technologies. With a keen understanding of both commercial and government markets, Josh brings a holistic perspective to clients operating across aviation, space, and defense.
Experience
Josh brings a rare blend of creativity, technical insight, and business acumen to his work. He specializes in analyzing emerging markets and technologies, bridging the gap between finance and engineering teams. His extensive background in the aerospace and space industries is complemented by a strong track record in sales, including international business development and direct engagements with government clients.
Previously, Josh served as Partner at Nextfed where he co-led the firm’s strategy and M&A engagements in the aerospace and defense sectors. Aprio announced the acquisition of Nextfed, Inc. in June 2025.
Before joining Nextfed, Josh spent nine years at Airbus, where he held leadership roles in both the Commercial Aircraft and Helicopters divisions in France and the United States. As Director of Strategy and Corporate Development, he led growth initiatives across all three divisions in North and South America. He also served as Director of Marketing for Airbus Helicopters North America, overseeing market analysis and sales support for a diverse customer base.
Josh began his career at Avascent Group, managing strategy and M&A engagements for clients in the aerospace and defense industry. His experience spans helicopter demonstrations, cross-border strategy development, and new business pursuits across the U.S. and Europe.
Education & Affiliations
Josh earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Economics from Ohio State University. He remains actively engaged in the aerospace and defense community and brings a global perspective to his work, shaped by years of experience across international business units.
