Katie is a partner at Aprio and leads client engagements, mainly preparing financial statement audits*. She focuses on the manufacturing and distribution industry, bringing deep technical proficiency, strong market credibility, and trusted community relationships to accelerate growth. Clients describe Katie as deeply knowledgeable, professional, and direct, valuing her as both a trusted advisor and a highly collaborative partner who brings energy and curiosity to every engagement.
Experience
She has extensive experience working with public and privately held companies, as well as clients owned by private equity firms, advising them through the lifecycle of their business. Katie also provides guidance and accounting advice on acquisitions and divestitures, carve-outs, revenue recognition, leases, and asset impairment considerations.
With her public company background, Katie is passionate about internal controls and regularly advises clients on strengthening them and remediating material weaknesses or significant deficiencies. She also oversaw financial reporting and consolidations for a large international beverage company, providing her with a distinctive perspective shaped by having been in her clients’ seats.
Education & Affiliations
Katie earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology- Scheller College of Business. She is the Treasurer and Board Member of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia, a Board Member of the Bremen Museum, and a member of both The Women’s Collective and Women in Manufacturing Association.
