Overview
LaTara began her career over 25 years ago as a Software Engineer, bringing with her a wealth of technical knowledge and extensive compliance experience. Throughout her career, she has supported organizations in both the public and private sectors. Currently, LaTara serves as Aprio’s Federal Compliance Director. In this role, she will lead the development of the Government Compliance Team’s structure and processes, helping to build a scalable, repeatable foundation for continued growth and excellence.
Experience
As a Senior FedRAMP Assessor, Lead CCA, ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor*, and PMP, she offers a rare combination of analytical rigor and leadership discipline. LaTara has a proven record of improving financial performance while enhancing employee engagement, assuring teams are both effective and empowered in their day-to-day work. She effortlessly manages client relationships and guides them with confidence.
Education & Affiliations
LaTara earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from The University of Alabama and a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Project Management from Capella University. She holds the following professional credentials: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Project Management Professional (PMP). Additionally, LaTara has completed the ISO 19011 – Management Systems Auditing and Leading Management Systems Audit Team course.
