Laurie Goodey is a director with Aprio Advisory Group, LLC and works with the Aprio Alliance. The mission of the Aprio Alliance team is to help its members and people succeed. Aprio Alliance is the premier association of independently-owned mid to large-sized public accounting firms.
Experience
Laurie frequently consults with audit practice leaders across the country on auditing, efficiency, and practice management issues. She develops and delivers CPE programs that consistently earn high evaluations, demonstrating her ability to teach both technical and non-technical topics to new and experienced auditors.
Laurie’s career includes five years with regional and local public accounting firms, as well as extensive healthcare industry experience. She has worked in the internal audit department of a large health system, served as controller for a physician network, and managed the business office of a hospital. Her diverse background equips her to provide practical, results-driven solutions for her clientele.
Education & Affiliations
Laurie completed post-graduate studies in accountancy at the University of Illinois – Springfield and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois – Urbana. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
