Mark Phillips has over 25 years of public accounting experience. Mark has led and conducted hundreds of audits* and financial statement reviews for clients operating in different industries including technology, life sciences, investment funds, professional services, cooperatives, hospitality, and retail.
Experience
Mark has extensive experience working with clients in the government contracting, real estate, communications, publishing, and leisure sectors. He has also worked with a number of clients regulated by the SEC, from small registrants to multibillion dollar corporations.
Mark excels at providing clients with simple explanations to complex accounting matters. His passion for client service is reflected in his achievement of a 90-100% client satisfaction rating in recent annual survey responses (Net Promoter Scores) provided by clients.
Education & Affiliations
Mark earned his Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of Keele and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Monetary Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and Maryland, as well as being a Fellow Chartered Accountant in England and Wales. His past professional and community service includes serving as Co-Chair of the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Small Business & Entrepreneur Committee from 2017 to 2019. From 2010 to 2017, he held various leadership roles at the Tysons Corner Children’s Center, including President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer.
