With over 20 years of experience providing technology companies with tax planning and consulting services, Patrick expands Aprio’s technology practice, serving the tax and accounting needs of startup to mid-sized technology companies. He is known for bringing innovative tax strategies to clients, like federal and state Research & Development Tax Credits, saving them thousands of dollars each year that can be reinvested into their businesses. Patrick serves fintech and healthcare IT companies from pre-revenue startups and growth-phase companies to mature market leaders.
Experience
He has deep experience in strategic business advisory and tax planning experience to help his technology clients increase profitability and accelerate growth. Patrick provides his clients with fast access to knowledge and services that support rapid response to growth opportunities. These include capital raise preparation resources and investor introductions, R&D tax credits to fund innovation and increase cash flow, and data privacy and security services to meet vendor, industry, and regulatory requirements including PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST CSF, and HIPPA attestation.
Before joining Aprio, Patrick served as a partner in a New York accounting firm, before relocating to Charlotte in 2006 to join LBA Haynes Strand, which later merged with Aprio.

Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University. His professional affiliations include the AICPA, North Carolina Association of Public Accountants, and New York Association of Public Accountants.
