
Overview
Rob is a partner within the Assurance* Services Practice at Aprio with more than 25 years of accounting experience in both public and industry accounting. Rob helps CFOs, controllers, and owners/operators of senior living facilities, franchise operations, nonprofits, and investment funds simplify the complexities of financial reporting. His specialties include audits, reviews, and compilations from both sides of the desk, as both a public accounting firm CPA and a controller.
Experience
Throughout his career, Rob has assisted clients across the title and settlement, finance, broker-dealer, real estate, and construction industries with audits, reviews, compilations, internal audit procedures, due diligence projects, mergers and acquisitions, and internal control studies. He has also served as a controller for a national wholesale life insurance distribution company and a regional broker-dealer.
Working from Aprio’s Birmingham office, Rob is focused on expanding Aprio’s reach in the market and introducing the firm’s growing service offerings to businesses in the area. In his practice, Rob helps clients implement new accounting standards and improve processes and accounting system controls. His work delivers greater insight from financial reporting that he leverages to provide independent advisory for strategic planning.
Education & Affiliations
Rob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Auburn University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and the Birmingham Venture Club.
