As a former COO and Partner of Delap, Ryan has a passion to help build the firm of the future. Joining Aprio as Partner, Finance & Revenue Optimization, Ryan leverages more than 20 years of experience in the CPA and financial services industry to provide innovative solutions to enable client service professionals to bring more value to clients. Ryan is known for his collaborative leadership style and ability to identify emerging industry trends, enabling teams to consistently deliver forward-thinking and tech-enabled solutions.
Experience
As a former COO, Ryan helped craft strategic vision for creating capacity for client service professionals to invest deeply in new strategic growth areas and serve clients’ greatest needs beyond compliance. Ryan also helped lead industry specialization, value-add service focus initiatives that helped build and lead an internal services team comprised of IT, HR, Recruiting, Resource Management, Learning & Development, Marketing, and Financial & Accounting. Prior to his role with Delap, Ryan led his firm’s Construction and Homebuilder Practice, which served a majority of the top 20 homebuilders in the Pacific Northwest.
Education & Affiliations
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Linfield University and is a licensed CPA in the state of Oregon. He is a member of the AICPA and OSCPA. Ryan has served as a Past Executive Board Member for the Home Builders Foundation, is a member of the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland, and has served on the COO Steering Committee of a global accounting association. As a former linebacker for the Linfield Wildcats, Ryan volunteers his time as a football coach in Sherwood, Oregon.
