Overview
Thomas is a partner in Aprio’s Housing Authorities industry niche. He has over 13 years of experience managing housing authority audits. In his role, Thomas oversees financial and compliance audits for Aprio housing authority clients. He has performed over 300 housing authority audits* for clients across the U.S., including: Housing Authority of Cook County, Omaha Housing Authority, Trenton Housing Authority, Housing Authority of Elgin, Bloomington Housing Authority and Pahokee Housing Authority.
Experience
Thomas also serves as quality control partner for Aprio’s Birmingham office, reviewing audit reports and work products to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting industry standards. Earlier in his career, Thomas worked in industry as an accountant for Synovus Mortgage Corporation and Arizona Restaurant Supply, Inc.
Education & Affiliations
Thomas earned a B.A. in Accounting and a B.A. in Business Administration from Augustana College, and a Master of Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
