Overview

Trina has nearly 18 years of experience providing business advisory and high-level consulting services to nonprofits. She enjoys working closely with clients to analyze their needs and create efficient, tailored solutions for their finance and accounting challenges. Trina’s earlier experience in the financial services sector has been a valuable asset, especially when helping clients improve processes and implement system solutions related to investments and endowment accounting and reporting.

Trina and her team solely serve nonprofits. They serve clients ranging in terms of revenue from $1M to $1B and are eager to continue to expand their reach across the country. Trina’s especially interested in growing their support of higher education institutions.

Experience

She possesses an expansive knowledge in accounting and finance, which she gained from working as a director and officer in financial services organizations as well as a senior manager at KPMG. Trina has performed a variety of projects for clients including internal control and process improvement initiatives and is the functional team leader for the endowment and investment team.

Trina can take complex problems and break them down in a way that’s clear and accessible to the audience. She brings clarity and creates streamlined processes that are both easy to understand and implement for stakeholders. Her communication style is approachable and supportive, making clients feel comfortable rather than overwhelmed or intimidated.

Education & Affiliations

Trina earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has been involved with the Women’s Leadership Group of the GWSCPA, most recently serving as their co-chair for the past two years leading and delivering high quality programming that resonates with women wherever they are in their professional career. Trina is also a member of AICPA and Greater Washington Society of CPAs.
