Aprio Foundation Makes Nationwide Impact, Empowering Communities from Coast to Coast

13 Nonprofit Organizations Awarded Grants in the Foundation’s First Cycle of 2024
ATLANTA – June 13, 2024 – The Aprio Foundation, the charitable arm of Aprio, LLP, is proud to announce the successful completion of its first grant cycle of 2024. This cycle has brought significant community impact grants totaling $93,000 to 13 deserving nonprofit organizations nationwide, empowering them to continue making substantial differences in their communities. These grants, a testament to Aprio’s commitment to social responsibility, diversity, volunteerism and support for education, entrepreneurship, the environment, and economically disadvantaged populations, have already begun to inspire positive change in the communities they serve.
The 2024 First Cycle of Community Impact Grants have been awarded to the following organizations:
Atlanta Track Club Foundation (Georgia) is committed to creating an active and healthy Atlanta, motivating, inspiring and engaging the community to enjoy a healthier lifestyle through running and walking.
Atlanta Victim Assistance (Georgia) is a unique resource for individuals and families to receive support after experiencing the life-altering impacts of a crime.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBS) (Georgia) makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Children’s Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP) (Texas) provides recreational opportunities for individuals with medical conditions or disabilities and their siblings, respite for family members, leadership development for high school students and young adults and hands-on educational experiences for healthcare professionals.
Community Reach of Montgomery County (Maryland) improves the quality of life for the most vulnerable Montgomery County residents by providing them with basic health and human services and advocating on their behalf, with the goal of helping them achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
Creating Connected Communities (CCC) (Georgia) provides life-enhancing programs for children experiencing hardship by empowering teens to become engaged community leaders and volunteers.
CoCo Kids (California) serves the needs of children, families, early educators, businesses and communities. It is the trusted organization many count on for successfully proven initiatives and a wide range of free and low-cost programs and services so parents can work and children are ready for success in school and life.
Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS) (Georgia) offers programs and resources to transform lives, helping individuals and families of all faiths live to their full potential in the fields of aging and older adults, career counseling, dentistry, mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities and need-based support services.
Montgomery County Public Schools Educational Foundation (Maryland) supports the strategic initiatives of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), prioritizing mitigating opportunity gaps that impact MCPS students.
Next Generation Men & Women (NextGen) (Georgia) builds bridges for students who have been traditionally overlooked to prepare them for success after graduation. Through exposure to college and career options and consistent support from mentors, Next Gen opens doors and makes connections to help students discover their full potential.
North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) (Georgia) helps to ease hardship and foster financial stability in the North Fulton community by providing opportunities for the whole community to thrive.
The Arc of San Antonio (Texas) serves as a social service home in Bexar and surrounding counties to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and assists their families during all phases of life.
The HOPE Program (New York) empowers New Yorkers to build sustainable futures through comprehensive training, jobs, advancement and lifelong career support.
These grants are a testament to the Aprio Foundation’s dedication to funding initiatives that resonate with its social mission and values. Each recipient organization, chosen with great consideration by The Foundation’s board and Aprio team members, has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering inclusion, diversity, equity and positive social change within their respective communities.
