Who I work with
As a partner in Aprio’s Real Estate and Construction Practice, I use my 15 years of tax and accounting experience to advise companies in commercial real estate development, construction, professional services, restaurant, and investment industries. With a focus on S-corporations and partnerships. If you are a commercial or multi-family real estate developer with over $100 million in gross assets owned, we should connect.
I consult with clients in the areas of rental real estate taxation, construction contractor taxation and Section 1031 (like kind exchanges). One of my specialties is advising clients on how to utilize the partnership structure to achieve tax savings and realize business objectives. I also work with clients on tax structuring as well as complex merger/acquisition transactions.

Advised client on structuring rollup transaction of $300M commercial portfolio into 2 companies to consolidate family and estate planning strategies.
Advised client on 1031 strategies to bring in new equity and exchange out of a nonperforming asset deferring $5M of federal and state income taxes.

Some unique things about me
I am a “Double Dog.” I earned both my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of Georgia. (Go Dogs)
What I do when I am not at work
When I’m not working, I’m an active member of AICPA and GSCPA. I also coach youth baseball and volunteer at the Humane Society.
