Overview
Joe is a Tax Partner at Aprio, and he works closely with the firm’s construction and homebuilding clients. He provides creative solutions that help clients meet their business and personal goals. By gaining insight into each client’s finances, objectives, and specific tax and accounting issues, Joe works to develop process improvements and tax strategies and to implement a plan to help reach desired targets. He is an excellent communicator and works efficiently to serve not only the immediate needs but also the long-term needs of each one of his clients.
Experience
Joe primarily provides business advisory, tax planning, and tax compliance services to private, middle-market clients across a variety of industries, with a strong focus on home builders and the construction industry. He has built a network of professionals who collaborate closely with his team.
Joe’s primary practice areas are homebuilder, construction, and automotive industry focus; income taxation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations; business planning and consulting for closely held businesses; retirement and succession planning; and opportunity zones.
Education & Affiliations
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Linfield University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland.
