Who I work with
I have extensive experience providing technical tax consulting and compliance services to multinational businesses, individual taxpayers and tiered partnership structures. In my role as Aprio’s Director of Federal Tax Quality Control, I work closely with our tax team to ensure the quality of Aprio Tax deliverables and client service.
My specialty
My expertise includes tax research, tax conflict resolution and tax practice management. I conduct advanced research and constantly monitor tax guidance to address both clients’ and team members’ tax questions. I provide guidance on creating structures to limit and defer tax liabilities, including the use of offshore operations, and help clients understand the impact that emerging tax codes will have on their business and personal finances.
Results I have delivered
It’s my job to continuously advance Aprio’s tax knowledge base and resources and set quality controls and guidelines for the firm. As a vigilant student of federal tax law, I have an eye for detail, and I am always on the lookout for opportunities to save our clients money.
Unique things about me
I am multilingual and speak four languages, including Russian and Spanish. I enjoy working with Aprio’s international teams and our clients.
When I am not at work
I am a devoted grandfather, and I love the perspectives and constant entertainment that my multigenerational family provides. I guess you could say my second love is the guitar, and I am an adequate jazz player.

I earned my Master’s degree in Accounting from the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I received my Juris Doctor (J.D.) of Law from Cleveland State University College of Law, and I did my undergraduate work at Marquette University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and was a member of Pi Sigma Alpha.
