Overview

With over two decades of experience in assurance and audit* operations, Kellie leads strategic initiatives focused on driving innovation, increasing efficiency, and delivering consistent client service across Aprio’s Assurance practice. She partners with Assurance and firm leadership to enhance workflows, analyze P&L performance, and support M&A due diligence and integration. As Aprio continues to evolve as an AI-forward firm, Kellie plays a key role in aligning operational strategies with emerging technologies and continuous improvement efforts that elevate audit efficiency.

Experience

Kellie is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in public accounting. She has spent most of her career at Aprio serving clients in the real estate and affordable housing sectors, performing audit, compliance, and financial reporting for REITs and multifamily clients. Previously, Kellie served as Assistant Vice President at State Street Corporation, where she managed fund accounting for multibillion dollar real estate and infrastructure investment funds as well as led global accounting teams.

In her current role as Director of Assurance Operations at Aprio, Kellie is responsible for executing strategic and operational initiatives that support firmwide growth and client delivery. She partners with Assurance leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance workflows, monitor engagement performance, and lead integration efforts for acquisitions. Kellie drives process improvement through technology enablement and innovation, aligning operational strategies with firm goals to increase efficiency and scalability across the Assurance practice.

Education & Affiliations

Kellie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Auburn University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), and the Women in Affordable Housing Network (WAHN). She previously served as Treasurer for WAHN’s Atlanta Chapter from October 2024 to July 2025. Kellie also served as Co-Leader of Aprio’s Women’s Employee Resource Group (WE) from October 2023 to February 2025. As the firm’s largest ERG and representing over 500 women nationwide, WE is dedicated to identifying and nurturing the potential of women within Aprio. Under her leadership, the group launched initiatives focused on skill development, mentorship, and career growth while promoting gender equity and fostering a culture of inclusion and respect across the firm.
