Overview
Scott has over 20 years of experience providing audit* and other accounting services to many clients. He has a passion for working closely with clients and providing exceptional service, mentoring peers in their careers, and training professionals, both internally and externally, on new and complex accounting topics.
Experience
Scott worked at a Big Four accounting firm for several years before joining his previous firm, Delap, in 2008. Scott collaborates with his team and helps clients not only meet their assurance* and other accounting needs, but also achieve their own business, professional, and personal dreams and goals. His primary practice areas include audit and accounting services in the financial services, technology, and manufacturing and distribution industries, and SEC reporting.
Scott stays up to date on changing regulations and the latest accounting guidance, and he regularly presents accounting hot topics to local groups and organizations.
Education & Affiliations
Scott earned a Master of Professional Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He also holds an IFRS Certificate of Educational Achievement. Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants. Scott is currently serving as an industry partner on his local school district Accounting and Advisory Board. He also serves in various leadership positions at his church, and he was a former instructor at Becker CPA Review and a former youth leader at the Boy Scouts of America.
